Travelers notebooks. They’re wonderful for so many things—as a planner, journal, sketchbook, note-taker—the list goes on and on. This week I’m sharing another video (I’m on a roll!) of my favorite travelers notebook to use as an art journal.

Thanks to our wonderful planner and bullet journal communities, I’ve become more inspired to use my precious travelers notebooks in more creative ways. One of my favorite creative outlets is to keep a daily art journal. Every day, I write about the highlights of the day along with a drawing or watercolor. If we did anything extra special like try a new restaurant, attend a concert, or school event, I might add other elements like ticket stubs, business cards, pictures, or ephemera. However, setting up an art journal is just one piece of the puzzle. You also need the ‘perfect’ travelers notebook to support it—my favorite is the Chic Sparrow Sidekick.

Art journaling is fun but it requires a few supplies, especially on-the-go. The challenge is to find the ‘right’ notebook, pencil case, or other accessory that will hold everything you need. The Chic Sparrow Sidekick—or any travelers notebook with a similar layout—is a great option if you’re looking for something that is portable and self-contained.

What about you? What is your perfect function plus travelers-notebook-model combination? Do you also art journal? If so, what is your setup—books, pens/markers, other supplies? Please share in the comments below and don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe!

Until next time,
