While roaming my local Staples one day I came across the most chic iPhone/iPad accessory in the clearance rack–a lipstick stylus! It was a ‘Fred and Friends’ iGlam Lipstick Touchscreen Stylus (also available on Amazon).

I have to admit, I bought it purely for the aesthetics–wouldn’t you?–but to my surprise it worked out pretty well. Given the wider surface I found it worked better than the typical pen stylus because it functioned more like a finger. It did, however, involve a slight ‘learning curve’ to determine the right amount of pressure to make it work consistently.
Unfortunately over time, the cap got loose and began to slip off easily so I have retired it to my vanity which is decorated in an eclectic geek/beauty theme–it was perfect!
If you’re a collector of geek/chic novelty items, this is a cute one to have in your collection and hopefully you’re lucky enough to find it in the clearance bin. 😉
