Yes, a second post in a week and it’s a special one! 😉
This week many in the U.S. are celebrating Thanksgiving giving thanks and spending time with loved ones over a delicious turkey dinner. On the heels of Thanksgiving will be Christmas full of lots of joy, cheer, and gratitude over the thoughtful gifts given and received in the holiday spirit. With that in mind and related to my earlier blogpost this week, Santa’s Sleigh List – Fountain Pen Inks, I created a little gift for all my fountain pen geeks!
It’s a downloadable insert titled ‘Inked Fountain Pens List’ to help you keep track of what ink is in what pen. Many of us already do this on scrap or blank pieces of paper so hopefully this will help you keep track a lot better. There’s room not only to list the fountain pen and ink brand/name but also nib size, date inked, and a ‘to-be cleaned date’ so we can all get better at this last step! There’s also a cool sketch of fountain pen nibs all along the header.
Inked Fountain Pens List insert – Letter/A5 size
*Note: To print letter size, print ‘as is’. To print A5 size, set ‘Copies per page’ to ‘2’ and ‘Scale to Fit’ to ‘Fill Entire Paper’ (see screenshot of settings on left). Take the printout, cut it straight down the middle, punch, and add to your favorite A5 binder!
Inked Fountain Pens List insert – Personal size
*Note: This file has two pages designed to print two personal size copies double-sided. Set your printer to print double-sided on the ‘short side’. Take the printout, cut along the black outline then straight down the middle, punch, and add to your favorite personal size binder!
If you use the same pens all the time, I recommend filling out the pen/nib information in ink and completing the ink and dates information in pencil so you can update as needed and allow this insert to serve a dual purpose of both keeping track of your fountain pen inventory as well as your ink rotation. Another option is to print the insert on ‘fountain pen friendly’ paper and write in each entry using the actual ink you’re tracking. Of course, if you like to mix up everything regularly, then just use it however you like–it’s all up to you!
If you find this helpful, please subscribe, like, and share on social media. This insert was designed for your enjoyment and personal use so please don’t sell, copy, or distribute. Stay tuned for next week’s installment of ‘Santa’s Sleigh List’ which will contain more gift ideas for the holidays and who knows, maybe Santa will leave you another little something for your virtual stocking too! 😉
Until next time,
